Early in my life I realized the importance of having skills to grow our own foods. I worked and studied in Hawaii for 8 years in subtropical organic food production, orchards and annual vegetables. We built a nursery and grew seedlings, cuttings, stock for other gardens. I learned about natural and sustainable techniques to keep a balanced and healthy Eco-system within a garden, build soil, and work with water.
I also had a 3 acre farm in Washington, where school groups came to learn about organics and basic gardens.
I worked as an assistant with a PDC course in western Mexico as the outdoor education director, organizing activities in the garden for learning projects.

I can design energy efficient gardens that can incorporate permaculture principles and biointensive organic methods.
I can create educational activities for children to learn about sustainable gardending.
