I have had the honor of studying since a very young age from powerful teachers coming from Cuba, Haiti, Africa and Brazil. I have a deep love for these cultures and their dances; I feel a strong belief in their healing abilities and the connection with the ancestors. My classes are expressive, healing and fun, inspired by culture and music from all around the world. A fusion of global tribal movements and free soul expression, with rhythms of salsa, samba, rumba, cumbia, afro-hatian and brazillian beats that get your hips shaking and soul swaying.
Dancing Freedom -
This is a modality stemming from my background in trance dance healing, similar to ecstatic dance and five rhythms. This dance is an inward journey of self discovery, a movement meditation through dance practice. It engages and activates the innate intelligence of our bodies to access shamanic, somatic and ecstatic states for self-expression, self-healing and to promote the return to wholeness. In this Dancing Freedom journey, participants will be invited to explore the unique dynamic and interdependent qualities of each of the 5 elements.We come together, in ceremony, to co-create a safe and supportive container for others to dive into where they may reconnect to and restore their own inner connectivity as to become more fully expressed and functional agents of change in the world.
